AWARDS

The Niagara Regional Science and Engineering Fair (NRSEF) wishes to thank our many sponsors and donors who have made it possible for the FAIR to reward excellence. Their generosity allows us to present over 100 Trophies and Purses to our participants.

WHO WINS?

The FAIR has two categories of judges.

The first category is judges selected by the FAIR. These judges evaluate every project. (See Score Sheets in the Rules and Regulations Booklet) From these results we determine the best projects in each division. Awards of Trophies and Purses are presented to First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Honourable Mentions. From the best projects we select our representatives at other fairs such as the Canada-Wide Science Fair and the International Science Fair.

The second category of judges, or Special Judges, is looking for projects in a particular field of science. These judges are normally members or representatives of the group or company presenting each particular special award. These awards also include Trophies and Purses.

In fact, we find that every student who participates in the FAIR is a winner. The not only get the satisfaction of presenting their project and talking to scientists in the field, they also get to enjoy our workshops, specially designed for them.
